why collages?
"The idea of the collage comes from the need to give a new role to the "detail". The clipping that was once part of an image now becomes the protagonist in a new story. The photograph mixes with the paper of letters sent, never sent or lost, with aged newspapers, with random numbers on a telephone, with notes left on the edges of some page. In my works there is not only my hand but also that of the person who stopped time by taking that photo or writing that number on that sheet of paper. Chance unites aesthetics and sensations that intertwine unknown lives"
